Looking to build on 2020 performance
JPMorgan Smaller Companies* aims to provide capital growth by investing in listed UK smaller companies, based on quality, valuation and momentum. Georgina Brittain has managed the portfolio since 1998, with Katen Patel joining as co-portfolio manager in 2014. The portfolio contained 89 stocks as at 31 May 2021, with 35% invested in companies with a market cap below £1bn and 96% in companies below £5bn. The fund has outperformed the benchmark over the last ten, five and three years, as well as the last twelve months. Over the latter period, the NAV total return was +69%, compared with +52% for the benchmark and +58% for the UK Smaller Companies peer group.
