Well-managed exposure to listed closed-ended funds
- CT Managed Portfolio Trust* was launched in April 2008 and has been managed by Peter Hewitt of Columbia Threadneedle since IPO.
- The fund invests in investment companies across geographies and sectors and has two classes of shares with two separate portfolios.
- The objective for the Income portfolio is to provide investors with an attractive level of income, with the potential for income and capital growth, and it pays dividends quarterly.
- The objective for the Growth portfolio is to provide capital growth.
- Net income from the Growth portfolio is transferred to the Income portfolio in exchange for the same amount of capital and only Income shareholders are entitled to receive dividends. Shareholders can switch between the two share classes annually, in a tax efficient manner, with shares converted by reference to the ratio of the respective underlying NAVs.
- The annual dividend for FY22 was increased by 7.3% to 6.65p per Income share, marking 11 consecutive years of dividend growth.
