C share issue enables access at NAV
JPMorgan Global Core Real Assets (JARA) aims to provide investors with a long-term target annual total return of 7-9%, including a dividend target of 4-6%, by investing in “core” real assets, defined as stable and predictable high quality holdings in the Real Estate, Infrastructure and Transport sectors. The fund has access to a range of non-public opportunities through its investment manager, JPMorgan Asset Management's Alternative Solutions Group (US$141bn assets under management), and is currently invested in c.700 private assets. The primary geographic focus is on the US, Asia Pacific and Continental Europe. The fund raised £150m in its September 2019 IPO and had invested 99.5% of its IPO proceeds by September 2020. The NAV total return since launch has been -6% and the fund has traded on a premium with relative consistency. The fund is aiming to raise a minimum of £80m in a C share issue, closing on 9 December 2020. We met Philip Waller, a member of the Alternative Solutions Group at JPMorgan, for an update on 16 November.
